Monica Ferguson, FNP is passionate about providing primary care services to those most vulnerable and overlooked in our community. Providing primary care services and making house calls to patients from all walks of life who experience hardship or unable to travel to and from an Emergency facility or a clinic.

She brings a broad range of experience to this mission as a registered nurse, and a nurse practitioner, experience in critical care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, family practice, as well as being a primary care provider.
Monica loves to teach patients, advocate, give options, involve the patients and their loved ones by giving choices regarding treatment and provide referrals to specialists when needed. She provides care using natural or pharmaceutical modalities in order to prevent and preserve wellness; treat illness and minimize disease progression so her patients can have the best quality of life possible. Problem solving and mystery diagnoses in medicine is an art and Monica has been fortunate and blessed to master throughout her professional career.

Monica started her career caring for the elderly. First working in adult foster care homes, and then owning them, from 1992-2000. She has always had a heart, and great compassion for senior citizens, and believes seniors deserve respect and the best care possible.

To expand her ability to provide care she went to Walla Walla College and received her BSN in Nursing Science, then her Masters in Nursing Science and FNP Degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA in 2005. As a Nurse Practitioner, Monica has worked in the greater Portland Metro area since 2006. She worked for the Veterans Administration Medical Center as a primary care provider serving our Armed Forces.

She also started a private practice with an office in Lake Oswego, and a willingness to provide house calls to housebound, underinsured or non-insured patients. Monica has a deep compassion for her patients. She takes time to listen because she believes each person’s needs are important.

Ms. Ferguson immigrated to the United States from Romania in 1990, and became a citizen in 1997. She is bilingual, and is fluent in both Romanian, and English.
